Below you can find the different payment options available when shopping at ARKET.

Payment options

Card payment

We accept Visa and MasterCard. If your card transaction is approved, the amount will be reserved immediately and an order confirmation will be sent to your email address. Your card will be debited when we dispatch your order. If your card transaction isn't approved, your order will be cancelled. Please contact your bank or card provider if you have any questions.

 

Google Pay

If you choose to pay with Google Pay, a pop-up window will appear where you can choose either a saved card in your Google Pay wallet or add a new one. Once you have clicked 'Pay', you will see the order confirmation page.

 

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is available when shopping on an Apple device and online in Safari. Before you use Apple Pay, you must activate it in your Apple account and device. If you choose Apple Pay at checkout, confirm the payment on your Apple device. Once the payment is completed, you will be redirected back to ARKET.com.

 

PayPal 

If you choose to pay with PayPal, you will be redirected to the PayPal website to proceed with the payment. Log in to your account and confirm the payment. If you are new to PayPal, create an account and then confirm the payment. Once confirmed, you will be redirected back to ARKET.com and your order is confirmed.

VAT

Please note the prices on arket.com does not include all local sales taxes/VAT. If the value of your order exceeds the toll free limit in your market extra fees might be applied for import taxes/custom duties upon delivery. ARKET does not compensate these charges.

How to pay these fees

Once the parcel has entered  the destination market it will be held by Customs for clearance. During this time, import duties and tax fees (should they apply) will be calculated by the present authority. Our transport partner will contact you once the order has reached the local Customs and inform you what you need to pay before the order can go through customs.

 

Bank fees

Please note that your bank might add additional fees for cross border payments. ARKET does not compensate these charges. You can check with your bank for more information.

New Zealand GST

New Zealand GST will apply at the rate of 15% to Low Value Goods (under $1000 NZD) sold on ARKET by non-New Zealand resident suppliers and delivered to a New Zealand address. When you provide a New Zealand delivery address at checkout, the estimated tax applies to your items and is calculated into your order total. The prices displayed on ARKET are inclusive of the applicable New Zealand 15% GST. New Zealand 15% GST is also applicable on any delivery associated with orders of LVG.

 

GST will apply to each LVG in an order, regardless of the total value of all items in an order. You'll be able to see your final price inclusive of any applicable estimated New Zealand GST before you confirm your order.

 

If you require an invoice with tax details, please contact Customer Service and providing the following data:

  • Your personal TIN number

  • The order number for which the invoice is requested

Student discounts

At ARKET we are happy to offer 14% off full price and discounted items to students. To enjoy this discount, verify your student status here.

 

You will receive a discount code that you can use at checkout when you are shopping online.

 

Please note that the student discount cannot be combined with other code-based discounts. We are happy that we can offer our student discount in all markets now. If you need help verifying your student status in your country, please try to submit a request here.

Gift card

Gift cards can only be bought and used in our physical stores, within the country of purchase. If you have any questions about our gift cards, please contact our store staff. For locations and opening hours, please see our store locator.

Payment security

For card purchases we work with an authorized payment agent that helps us to check directly with your bank that the card is valid for purchases. Our payment agent processes your card details in the correct way according to the international security standard PCI DSS, which was developed by the card companies Visa, MasterCard, Diners, American Express and JCB. This means that your card details are processed with a very high level of security. To make card purchases with us as secure as possible all information is sent in encrypted form using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This means that the information is passed through a secure connection and that your card details cannot be read by external parties.
